Sunday Report
Today was the first Sunday after Christmas.
On Point
Someone asked, where do the quotes come from? The answer is from the people who uttered them. But, how did you find them? Oh, that. Some from Bishop Jerry, many from Rev Bryan Dabney, a few from other places, but overall mostly from Bryan. He always has some great ones to share. On to the On Point quotes –

The Modern Man
We make men without chests and expect from them virtue and enterprise. We laugh at honor and are shocked to find traitors in our midst.

Blessed are the eyes which see the things that ye see: for I tell you, that many prophets and kings have desired to see these things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them.
Luke 10:23-24
In thee, O LORD, do I put my trust: let me never be put to confusion.
Psalm 71:1
The house of the wicked shall be overthrown: but the tabernacle of the upright shall flourish.

Christians do not hurl the truth like a spear at a sinful world. We are called to live the truth, to teach the truth, to be the truth, and to love our neighbors on the basis of that truth.

Propers
Each Sunday there are Propers: special prayers and readings from the Bible. There is a Collect for the Day; that is a single thought prayer, most written either before the re-founding of the Church of England in the 1540s or written by Bishop Thomas Cranmer, the first Archbishop of Canterbury after the re-founding.
The Collect for the Day is to be read on Sunday and during Morning and Evening Prayer until the next Sunday. The Epistle is normally a reading from one of the various Epistles, or letters, in the New Testament. The Gospel is a reading from one of the Holy Gospels, Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. The Collect is said by the minister as a prayer, the Epistle can be read by either a designated reader (as we do in our church) or by one of the ministers and the Holy Gospel, which during the service in our church is read by an ordained minister.
The propers are the same each year, except if a Red Letter Feast, that is one with propers in the prayerbook, falls on a Sunday, then those propers are to be read instead, except in a White Season, where it is put off. Red Letter Feasts, so called because in the Altar Prayerbooks the titles are in red, are special days. Most of the Red Letter Feasts are dedicated to early saints instrumental in the development of the church, others to special events. Some days are particularly special and the Collect for that day is to be used for an octave (eight days) or an entire season, like Advent or Lent.
The propers for today are found on Page 102-103, with the Collect first:
The Holy Innocents. [December 28.]
The Collect.
O
ALMIGHTY God, who out of the mouths of babes and sucklings hast ordained strength, and madest infants to glorify thee by their deaths; Mortify and kill all vices in us, and so strengthen us by thy grace, that by the innocency of our lives, and constancy of our faith even unto death, we may glorify thy holy Name; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
The First Sunday after Christmas Day.
The Collect.
A
LMIGHTY God, who hast given us thy only-begotten Son to take our nature upon him, and as at this time to be born of a pure virgin; Grant that we being regenerate, and made thy children by adoption and grace, may daily be renewed by thy Holy Spirit; through the same our Lord Jesus Christ, who liveth and reigneth with thee and the same Spirit ever, one God, world without end. Amen.
The reading for the Epistle comes the Revelation of Saint John the Divine, the Fourteenth Chapter, beginning at the First Verse:
I
LOOKED, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him an hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father’s name written in their foreheads. And I heard a voice from heaven, as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of a great thunder: and I heard the voice of harpers harping with their harps: and they sung as it were a new song before the throne, and before the four living creatures, and the elders: and no man could learn that song but the hundred and forty and four thousand, which were redeemed from the earth. These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb. And in their mouth was found no guile: for they are without fault before the throne of God.
The Gospel for today came from the Gospel according to Saint Matthew, the Second Chapter, beginning at the Thirteenth Verse:
T
HE angel of the Lord appeareth to Joseph in a dream, saying, Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and flee into Egypt, and be thou there until I bring thee word: for Herod will seek the young child to destroy him. When he arose, he took the young child and his mother by night, and departed into Egypt: and was there until the death of Herod: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, Out of Egypt have I called my son. Then Herod, when he saw that he was mocked of the wise men, was exceeding wroth, and sent forth, and slew all the children that were in Bethlehem, and in all the coasts thereof, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had diligently enquired of the wise men. Then was fulfilled that which was spoken by Jeremy the prophet, saying, In Rama was there a voice heard, lamentation, and weeping, and great mourning, Rachel weeping for her children, and would not be comforted, because they are not.
Sermon – Rev Hap Arnold
Church of the Faithful Centurion – Descanso, California
At this Christmastide, we have been concentrating on the joy of the Christ’s coming to earth; rightly so! But, in our liturgical calendar, the days go on. Right after Christmas, we celebrate Boxing Day in the Anglican tradition, but more than that 26 December brings us the recollection of Saint Steven Deacon and Martyr; he was killed under the direction of Saul of Tarsus, the same person who with God’s Grace and Help became Saint Paul. The following day, 27 December, recalls Saint John, the longest lived of the Apostles whose writing gives so much to the theology of the New Testament. That brings us to today, 28 December, when we recall The Holy Innocents, whose deaths are connected with Jesus’ birth.
An odd combination of days and thoughts for those who do not choose to think or delve deeply into a subject upon which their eternal lives are dependent. Most people, if they go to church, are Creastors, that is people who attend church on Christmas and Easter. This is certainly better than not at all, but one wonders why the two major events of the Christian year do not inspire them to more in depth consideration of what is, after all, the instructions for the remainder of their life here on earth and eternity. As ministers, I guess most of us wonder why we cannot get the message across. Still other people, members of churches, come every Sunday, so long as it is convenient. That is certainly better yet, but their knowledge falls short of the information available in the Bible. While the Book of Common Prayer is a wonder, it only provides propers for the Sundays and Holy Days, the subject matter is limited to the 52 high points if you make every Sunday! Often parishes overlook inconvenient days, such as Holy Innocents, or even worse the Circumcision. They only fall on a Sunday every seven years and who will know, anyway?
So, precisely what is The Holy Innocents? Why is it important? Start with the Gospel we just heard from Saint Matthew:
Herod, when he saw that he was mocked of the wise men, was exceeding wroth, and sent forth, and slew all the children that were in Bethlehem, and in all the coasts thereof, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had diligently enquired of the wise men. (Matt 2)
Herod was certainly not a nice fellow, he ordered his own sons killed in another incident and in fact, one of his own sons was among those who were murdered in this event. Macrobius (c. 395-423), writes in his Saturnalia: “When he [emperor Augustus] heard that among the boys in Syria under two years old whom Herod, king of the Jews, had ordered to kill, his own son was also killed, he said: it is better to be Herod’s pig, than his son.” Even being among Herod’s own family was not a sure guarantee of safety, based on his penchant to murder people, even those of his own blood.
Based on the number of people in the area, probably around 1,000, it seems likely that 20 or less children lost their lives in this event. Worldwide? It was a minor hiccup; if it was you or your child, the casualties were terrible. The killing of an innocent child, a baby is among the most terrible and heinous of crimes. Christ says that it is better to have a millstone hanged around your neck and be cast into the sea, than to harm one of these precious gifts of God.
I would not like to be among those who murder little children at the Last Judgment, especially those who run and operate abortion clinics. I cannot pretend to know what God will or will not say or judge of these folks, only that I will not want to be in their position when that day arrives.
So, what do we take from this? Well, first there is the historical fact part. Matthew wanted to document what happened. Fair enough.
Why did Herod sacrifice the children? “For the greater good.” In this case, his greater good. He did not want this “Messiah” to mess up his gig. He was making a great living out of keeping the Jews under control for the Romans, the last thing he needed was to have some Messiah mess things up. He did not want the Jews to experience the Freedom the “Messiah” would bring; in this case, Jesus would free us from death. Herod was jealous of the title of the “Messiah” and figured incorrectly that Jesus would be competing with him for ruling of the land of Israel. He could or would not grasp Christ was not sent to the land of Israel. He came to prepare us for not just life here, but the world to come. For eternity.
If we let Him, He will rule our hearts with absolute justice.
“For the greater good ” is a concept oft used to justify doing terrible things so that someone else can benefit. Normally the person(s) benefiting in the end are those doing the sacrificing, not being sacrificed. Important difference.
Can you see the similarity between the Holy Innocents being sacrificed for Herod’s greater good and the children being thrown to Molech? In the case of Molech, parents threw their first born into the fires of hell to gain earthly riches. Herod directed the murder of children so he could continue his criminal enterprise without interference by a Messiah.
Now, think of the children being murdered in the womb, torn apart while alive, dismembered, then thrown in the dumpster so that their parents won’t be inconvenienced or punished with a child.
At the very least, if one does not want their child, they should at least put them up for adoption to give a family who does want a child a chance at loving the child, they could or would not love. But, alas, think, if one does not want a child, they shouldn’t partake in the act that would create the child in the first place! This is why there is an order to the prayer book. First comes Baptism, then Confirmation, then Marriage, then the Birth of a Child and so on till finally the Burial of the Dead. The point is, there is a certain order to life as God has ordained for the successful and fruitful multiplication of this earth, and if anybody performs this order out of sequence, the results could be catastrophic.
Abortion – Holy Innocents – Molech
What is the difference?
A while ago in the On Point section of the AOC Sunday Report, Rev Bryan Dabney provided a quote from James Kennedy, an American theologian, teacher and author:
We have been made for eternity! Yet though such a belief exists in every ancient religion from the Egyptians to the Persian to the Assyrian and Babylonian, the Chinese and the Hindu, everywhere it has waited for Jesus Christ to give to it a certitude nothing else could grant.
While Christ has been present since He made the world, so has evil. As elements of Truth, that is the Christ of God, come out in every religion, so do elements of evil and the Devil. As Christ waxes strong, the Devil of necessity wanes. If we let our faith in Christ wane and our country deviates from the firm foundation upon which it was founded, the Devil gains strength and becomes bolder. The solution to counter Satan is to increase our strength in Christ and embolden others around us to do the same, then for our little part, Satan’s hold will diminish.
So, let’s quickly talk about the propers. In the Collect, we find ourselves asking to emulate children in their simple steadfast faith even unto death. For only by simple faith in our Lord can we enter into heaven. Faith as of children, accepting our Lord for what He is, not what we want to make Him. For He is the Maker, not us!
When John talks about the 144,000, they are, symbolic or actual, the essence of the children who have gone before us. Simple faith and without fault at the Father’s Throne.
The Gospel, a straight forward historical rendition, shows how important it is to act on God’s instruction. Had Joseph not taken Mary and Baby Jesus into Egypt, the story would have ended right there. But, Joseph acted and the story played out. As Matthew pointed out, this is not the first time children were lost and in numbers. It was important that Jesus not be among them.
Heaven is at the end of an uphill trail. The easy downhill trail does not lead to the summit.
The time is now, not tomorrow. The time has come, indeed. How will you ACT?
It is by our actions we are known.

Who is this Jesus?

The First Sunday after Christmas Day.

A

Isaiah 9:2-7
T
HE people that walked in darkness have seen a great light: they that dwell in the land of the shadow of death, upon them hath the light shined. 3 Thou hast multiplied the nation, and not increased the joy: they joy before thee according to the joy in harvest, and as men rejoice when they divide the spoil. 4 For thou hast broken the yoke of his burden, and the staff of his shoulder, the rod of his oppressor, as in the day of Midian. 5 For every battle of the warrior is with confused noise, and garments rolled in blood; but this shall be with burning and fuel of fire. 6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. 7 Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.
Bear in mind this passage from Isaiah was written some four hundred years before the birth of Christ. The details, titles, descriptions of this coming child are pinpoint accurate if you compare it to the Gospel passages about the Nativity. Sometimes we do not take the time to realize the real miracle that took place some two thousand years ago. This season of Christmas is so out of line with what the secular world wants us to celebrate, there is a great tug-of-war taking place between the sacred and the secular. As early as the last week of August, Christmas trees begin to show up in the garden centers of certain box stores across the nation. The secular is all about buying, consuming, how much can I get; how much must I spend to get everyone a gift or trinket or what ever? And mind you that pressure begins in August.
Now let’s look at how the Church celebrated this holy season for centuries. Either on the last Sunday of November or the first Sunday in December would begin a four Sunday series of lessons and Gospel that spoke to the first coming of Christ and also His second Coming. This season is called Advent. This time was used to bring us to the awareness of the greatest gift ever given, that being the only begotten Son of God, Jesus Christ. The first two Sundays in Advent help us to reflect on the first Advent, the baby Jesus. Many prophetic passages are read and studied that point to that wonderful night in Bethlehem. The last two Sundays in Advent point to Jesus earthly ministry and the second coming of Jesus. This helps us to understand the timelessness of Jesus, he was not created, has always been, and will always be.
In Advent we learn about the many passages of scripture in the Old Testament that point to Christ’s first coming….as a child. Isaiah 9: v 6 we read one of several passages that speak of Christ coming as a baby. When you compare that with the Nativity narrative such as Matthew you will also see the reference to God with us, Immanuel.
Notice also the promises of safety and peace….an everlasting peace. …his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
Do we have peace at this time? No. This is a reference to Christ’s second coming, when He will up hold justice and righteousness from that time on and forever.
As a church we need to take back the sacred. We need to leave the noise and confusion and the moneychangers at the door. This is the House of the Lord, we shouldn’t allow all that to invade and attempt to replace what for centuries has been set apart, as holy, sanctified.
Our second passage of scripture has us reflect on the humble nature of Christ when he came to be amongst his creations, once again, Immanuel.
Because in the end, when we are finished on our journey we will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord,…why…. to the glory of God the Father.
As we have seen this morning Christ came as a little helpless baby, he humbled himself, our creator. (John 1:1 – 5) came to dwell amongst us to show us the way by his life, death, burial, and glorious resurrection from the dead… that we being followers of him should not fear death or its sting.
He came in a quiet way the first time. He lives within us now. He will return in glory…at the trumpet’s call….because God has exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the Glory of God the Father.
The psalmist wrote of the gloriousness and richness of God as in His revealed glory through the only begotten Son who lived amongst his creation, especially the very humans created in God’s image: All thy works shall praise thee, O LORD; and thy saints shall bless thee.” And again: Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised; and his greatness is unsearchable. One generation shall praise thy works to another, and shall declare thy mighty acts. I will speak of the glorious honour of thy majesty, and of thy wondrous works.
Verse after verse in the 145th psalm speak to the glory and majesty of the LORD.
This is the message of the Advent and the Nativity, the Christmastide and Epiphany. Let us not forget the Lord. He did not forget us.
Let us pray:
O
GOD, our heavenly Father, who didst manifest thy love by sending thine only-begotten Son into the world, that all might live through him; Pour thy Spirit upon thy Church, that it may fulfil his command to preach the Gospel to every creature; send forth, we beseech thee, labourers into thine harvest; defend them in all dangers and temptations; and hasten the time when the fulness of the Gentiles shall be gathered in, and all Israel shall be saved through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
O
ALMIGHTY God, who alone art without variableness or shadow of turning, and hast safely brought us, through the changes of time to the beginning of another year; We beseech thee to pardon the sins we have committed in the year which is past, and give us grace that we may spend the remainder of our days to thy honour and glory; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
T
HE grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Ghost, be with us all evermore. Amen.

Rev Bryan Dabney of Saint John’s Sunday Sermon
We are fortunate to have Bryan’s Sunday Sermon. If you want people to come to The Truth, you have to speak the truth, espouse the truth and live the truth. This is really a good piece and I commend it to your careful reading.
First Sunday after Christmas
In our lesson today from Isaiah, the prophet was given to proclaim: For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, the mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this (9:6-7). These verses refer to the promised Messiah— the Christ— who came to provide salvation to all who would believe on his name. Let us now consider the particulars of these verses.
First, we have the announcement of his birth which was an affirmation of Isaiah 7:14 which states Behold a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel. Immanuel is translated as, “God with us.” The Messiah was born as one of us, and yet, via his virgin birth per the workings of the Holy Ghost, he remained fully divine. To put it another way, he is both a “Son of man” and the “Son of God.”
The Nicene Creed summed it up in this manner when it spoke of our Lord as being, …very God of very God, begotten not made, being of one substance of the Father, by whom all things were made, who for us men and our salvation came down from heaven, and was incarnate by the Holy Ghost of the Virgin Mary and was made man… As God had pronounced judgment on our first parents in the Garden, he also set forth the provision for the redemption of humankind with his prophecy that the seed of the woman would bruise the head of the serpent (Genesis 3:15). That seed of the woman was Jesus Christ— Immanuel— God with us.
Another message contained in our Old Testament lesson had to do with the coming kingdom of the Messiah. The prophet noted that …the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, the mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever.
The names of, Wonderful, Counsellor, the mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace speak of who the Messiah is. He will be called these because as Matthew Henry once noted, “This child, this Son of God, this Son of man is invested with the highest honor and power… His people shall know him and worship him by these names. Justly is he called Wonderful, for he is both God and man. He is the Counsellor, for he was intimately acquainted with the counsels of God from eternity, and he gives counsel to the children of men… He is the mighty God… He is the Prince of Peace…”
We see in these names characteristics which aptly describe the Messiah’s presence and power. He is said to be Wonderful because he inspires awe. His birth at that lowly stable in Bethlehem though seemingly insignificant, yet when examined in the light of prophecy as noted in Isaiah 7:14 is beyond remarkable. For God the Son to enter our world as he did reveals the awesome power of our God to create for himself a earthly vessel in which he might walk among us and be one of us. It reveals the condescending love which God has always possessed for his highest creation.
His title of Counsellor speaks as Matthew Henry so noted of his godly understanding, as well as his presentation of that knowledge to mankind via his apostles and their charges who wrote books of the New Testament. Our good and loving God has sought to spread his wisdom abroad which, if followed, will lead to eternal life in his coming kingdom.
The prophet spoke of the Messiah as being, The Mighty God, the everlasting Father. These are titles which speak of the Messiah being a member of the Godhead, and thus fully man and fully God. Only God could redeem his lost creation via the shedding of his blood— the blood of an earthly body— and so die as he did on the cross for our redemption. Again, what condescending love we are treated to in the death of Christ. And what glory there is for such a God who raised our Lord from the dead and who later ascended into heaven to intercede for us at the Father’s right hand.
He is the Prince of Peace who came to bring to his own the peace of God and the blessed assurance of eternal life as co-heirs with himself in the God’s coming kingdom. The peace that Christ gives us far surpasses anything that could be found within the realms of the natural or the supernatural. Peace is a commodity which men have pursued since our first parents were cast out of the Garden of Eden. Over the millennia, human rulers have rarely succeeded in crafting genuine peace treaties, and of those that they did manage to establish, said agreements rarely survived for little more than a generation before they were undone by the principals who signed them. When our Lord returns, he will put an end to all violence between nations and peoples. He will triumph over the works of Satan, his host of wicked spirits and human disciples to bring in a millennium of true peace and justice. He will sit upon the throne of his father David and rule over all the world.
God promised David that from him would the Messiah spring forth. As the apostle John wrote of our Lord that he is, … the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star (Revelation 22:16). And as ruler, he will establish his kingdom and order it with justice and with judgment. With justice, because his will and purpose for things will be done in righteousness and in truth. With judgment, because all who will not obey his commandments will be judged and punished in the fires of perdition. No evil will be permitted to exist in his millennial kingdom until that final time of testing when the Devil will be permitted to tempt mankind and then he, and those who would follow his lead, will be cast out into that inevitable and inescapable Lake of Fire.
The zeal of the LORD of hosts is that Spirit of Power which he possesses to complete his works. The desire of God to bring those things so prophesied about in our lesson and in other places is so great that we have every assurance they will be done in the manner he described. God’s desires are never thwarted and are to be considered as truths yet to be formalized.
That is where our faith comes in. As regenerate people in Christ, we believe that what God has said in his word written he will carry out in his time. While truth in our sphere is observed and tested by what has happened, God’s truth is in his promises made good via the testimony of Scripture. And as we have faith that he will do as he has promised, we find comfort for our souls in this present time, as well as hope for the future in his coming kingdom.
In closing, let us keep in mind that description of our Lord which we heard in our Old Testament lesson. Let us always remember what the prophet was given to inscribe for our learning, edification and comfort because it proclaims the power and majesty of the Messiah as God’s child who came and dwelt among mankind and yet remained wholly and truly the God of all Creation. Let us now in that knowledge come to his table today and partake of the thanksgiving feast which he has prepared for us, and rejoice that he is all those things— Wonderful, Counsellor, the mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
Let us pray,
H
OLY and gracious God, whose word doth inspire and comfort us; we pray that thou wilt be present with us, and help us to ready ourselves for the second advent of thine only begotten Son; for these things we ask in the name of thy dear Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
Have a blessed week, Bryan+
People in our Prayers – http://faithfulcenturionprayerteam.blogspot.com/
Why? Prayer is an extremely important activity.
It is not that God knows not our needs, for He surely does. Yet, Jesus commanded us to ask God for those same needs. In addition to the obvious of asking God for help, offering thanksgiving and the like, prayer helps us focus our thoughts on how we might do God’s work.
The Prayer Team of the Anglican Orthodox Church was established to help our members and fellow Christians pray for those in need and to give thanks as well for the blessings we have been granted.
Who can be on the list? Do I have to be a member of the Anglican Orthodox Church to be prayed for?
No! The only qualification to be on the list is that you want our prayer team to pray for you. We are Christians and are happy to pray for you, no matter who you are. If you want help from God, you are our kind of people.
What is the commitment from the prayer team?
Each member of the team will pray for the desired outcome at last once per day.
How do I get myself or someone else on the prayer list?
You can email one of the prayer team leaders: Jack – jack@faithfulcenturion.org or Dru – dru@ faithfulcenturion.org, or call the office at (619) 659-3608 or fill out a prayer card at your church.
What should I ask for?
Depends on what you want. Some people merely want God to be asked to heal their ills and be mentioned by their first name, others want a specific outcome and / or have more of their personal information known to the team. Ask for what you want. It is your desire and need for prayer the team is attempting to meet. For typical examples, see the list below.
Updating the Team
If you are on our prayer list, or if you have submitted a person that you have asked us to pray for, please update one of the team members or Hap in person, by telephone or email. It helps to be able to pray specifically for these individuals including their specific needs; plus if they get better, it is our happy duty to give thanks!
Please note that on the yellow (maybe green or orange if you get an old one) cards at church, you can ask that those to be prayed for have their names disseminated to the prayer team. Those names will be said in church and appear here. Or, you can ask that their names and purpose be kept confidential, then only Hap will know to pray for them.
Prayer List Notice – If you have someone on the prayer list and their needs have changed, please let us know. We’d like to update our prayers to reflect the need and most important to give thanks!

Tricia had a reoccurrence of a viral pericarditis, it is seemingly resolving, but it was followed by tachycardia and difficulty breathing. She now has a Staphylococcus Aureus ear infection which seems to be resistant to the drugs she had been given but does not seem to be related to the pericarditis. Please pray for peace of mind and soul for Tricia, as well as for the doctors, nurses and technicians to pay attention and do their very best, as well as to be open to God’s guidance. Please pray also she will be open to seeking appropriate medical treatment.
Angie K Colgrove’s had a bad case of Pericarditis likely brought on by a PVIA procedure (Pulmonary Ventral Ablation) to correct an Atrial Arrythmia in her heart and a thickening pericardium. After treatment at Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida, then the Mayo Clinic there, she appears to have overcome all this and on the road to recovery. For Our Country
Our country has lost its way. Over half the people that vote, voted for a government that promises them things it cannot deliver in return for their souls which it can, will and does take. Our foreign policy backs the rise of Islam, we turn our backs on those who would follow God and arm those who murder them. Pray God will raise up a leader from among the people who can turn the country’s course 180° and attempt to come back to God. Pray the people will recognize that they are headed down a smooth wide road into the pit, a road that will get smoother and smoother, steeper and steeper until the only possible way is down. Down, into the depths of the pit. Pray people will recognize there is:
• One True and Triune God who is goodness in and of Himself;
• All religions are not equal;
• All ways of life are not equal;
• The Bible holds the Key to Life;
• All rights come from God, not the State;
• Good;
• Bad;
• Evil;
• Right;
• Wrong;
• Allah is the Devil;
• Abortion is no more than sacrifice of children to Baal.
Pray this recognition will not come too late. Pray we will, each of us, do our duty to God, Country and Family, putting His Honor above all.
