“For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: 21Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. 22Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools.” (Romans 1:20-22; all scripture quoted is from the King James Version)
I have written previously of the naiveté of those who consider themselves to be so learned as to defy the laws of Nature and of Nature’s God. Evolution defies every law of nature and of thermodynamics. Just as water always seeks the lowest path to travel, so do all things in nature that are left without outside intervention. In a closed system, all things tend to atrophy. Leave a beautifully constructed home vacant for five years and wince at the deterioration that has occurred.
Of course, even those who are duped by evolution believe that there had to be a first cause. But that is the very thing they cannot identify or explain. If the universe was without form and void at the beginning, from whence came the matter to begin the formation of space, the heavenly bodies, energy and matter itself? Can matter be created from nothing? Can energy be converted to matter? Neither of those qualities existed before time began. Perhaps the term evolution is missing the ‘D’ before it that would cause it to make sense.
The world is not growing better and stronger. The progression in the cycle of life is not continuing to evolve. Just the opposite is true. “Lift up your eyes to the heavens, and look upon the earth beneath: for the heavens shall vanish away like smoke, and the earth shall wax old like a garment, and they that dwell therein shall die in like manner: but my salvation shall be for ever, and my righteousness shall not be abolished.” (Isaiah 51:6)
Amazingly, mankind will develop every wild notion to avoid acknowledgment of God. It is not because they do not believe in God, but because they DO, and fear Him. There are truly no atheists – only like those who deny with the vehemence of a dying murderer. If they admit to the existence of God, then they must admit to a higher authority whose will must be obeyed. They prefer to deny Him and persist in their perverse livings. Just the very mention of the name of Christ sets their teeth on edge. Why? If they do not believe, the name of Christ should have no greater adverse impact upon their sorry hearts as the mention of Santa Claus.
There is scientific proof tucked away in the granite layer of the earth that disproves evolution in a witch’s second. They tiny mysteries is the existence of radio polonium halos distributed uniformly throughout the crust of the earth. The red light shift of heavenly bodies is also evidence of a far more recent creation than millions of years. Red shift occurs due to the Doppler effect, which says that the wavelength of light changes depending on if the wave source is moving toward or away from the detector. Scientists believe that the universe is expanding due to evidence of red shifted light from galaxies that are far away from Earth. When measured from the earth’s surface, the red-light shift is not as pronounced as measured from the ether of space. The greater band of red- light shift taken from the space-mounted Hubble telescope indicates a profoundly wider band of red light shift than on earth. This suggests that the heavenly bodies are moving far more rapidly from a common center than first believed. So rapidly that, if begun millions of years ago, these bodies would be beyond view of our most powerful telescopes.
One last point: “For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse.” What does this passage mean? Can we clearly see the invisible particles that comprise the objects that we do see? YES! We see a ring of gold we wear on our finger. The symbol for an atom of gold is ‘Au.’ Millions of atoms of gold coalesce to form gold in sufficient size for our eyes to see. So we do see millions of atoms of gold, do we not? How advanced is God’s Word to recognize this scientific fact unknown to mankind until contemporary science? “Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.” (Hebrews 11:1) Perhaps when the brilliant scientist can make a flea, he will have gained a modicum of credibility.
